SALON Austria Wine - the toughest wine competition in Austria

The “Salon” is considered the state championship for Austrian wines. Of all the wines awarded gold in a regional competition, those with the highest nationwide rating are invited to the tasting for the Salon. These wines from all over Austria then compete against each other as well as against 60 more wines that are nominated by wine experts.

In the final blind tasting of around 410 wines and 100 sparkling wines, the best wines in Austria are nominated by an independent expert jury.

In the end, 270 wines received a SALON award

– one of them is our Chardonnay 2020

( In the category “Burgundy Classic” only 9 Chardonnay wines in Austria were awarded as SALON21 Austria Wine)
